I remember saying that my new cockatiel was 1month old but he's actually 2 months and a week.
I only learned that you shouldn't take birds who aren't fully weaned after the fact, so now it's my responsibility, but I only need to handfeed him once a day at night. It has been very smooth, everything has being going well and he shows no signs of illness. He's been picking up on seeds very easily and quickly, and even though he likes to nap, he loves exploring and climbing
Everything is going right but one thing, he can't drink water on his own.
If he can, I surely never saw him do it. All the water he receives comes from the formula and sometimes I wet his beak and try to give him a few drops. I'm not sure how he'll start, or how to make him. I have both a bowl with water and a bottle ((not sure what they're caled)) in the cage
