I remember saying that my new cockatiel was 1month old but he's actually 2 months and a week.
I only learned that you shouldn't take birds who aren't fully weaned after the fact, so now it's my responsibility, but I only need to handfeed him once a day at night. It has been very smooth, everything has being going well and he shows no signs of illness. He's been picking up on seeds very easily and quickly, and even though he likes to nap, he loves exploring and climbing

Everything is going right but one thing, he can't drink water on his own.
If he can, I surely never saw him do it. All the water he receives comes from the formula and sometimes I wet his beak and try to give him a few drops. I'm not sure how he'll start, or how to make him. I have both a bowl with water and a bottle ((not sure what they're caled)) in the cage

Here's a pic of him too, cause he's a cutie

He's really cute! Are you sure he's not drinking any? Most birds don't drink a lot of water, I think. Are you using a water dish? Do his droppings look normal?

My ekkies dip most of their foods in their water dishes. I don't see them drinking very much but they would sure have a ball at a fondue party!

I'm not 100% sure if hes not drinking any... But I haven't seen him drinking yet :/ I have both a normal water dish and a water bottle in the cage, both in places he can reach easily. His droppings look perfectly normal according to what I've researched and read

Unless he was taught to use the water bottle, he probably can't use it. I think a lot of birds aren't used to water bottles (and you have to be careful of bacteria build up.)

I'll keep using the dish then, I just hope he drinks from it, thanks for the advice!
