They thought that she might have some type of lice or feather mites. She will be going to vet tomorrow.

They did not think she is Transylvanian naked neck.

She was in the rescuer's arm and I rubbed under beak. 'Chick Chick' almost purred she closed eyes and rest her little beak on my hand.

Why? She completely looks like one. I would be doubtful feather loss from mites etc. would be limited to the head and neck, especially since she still has facial feathers.

Thanks! It's not my equipment, on loan from my brother. Oh yeah, teleconversion was involved. Don't have the car lens money. Doing backyard shooting as well haven't had energy for trips.

'Chick Chick' aka Audrey Hepbird saw the vet today. Other then being a bit skinny she healthy and in need of some groceries (good healthy food and clean fresh water).

I need to apologize to @AussieBird. She is a naked necked chicken but the vet said she has never seen such tiny naked necked chicken before. They are very uncommon here.
She is in quarantine for 60 days or until her blood work comes back.

Neither she is in quarantine at the volunteer's house. CRR
This organization picks up stray chickens all over the metro area. She will receive a rod under her skin to stop egg laying. And will become a house chicken companion. Living her best life

Sorry exhaustion I didn't explain this right. It the same type of contraceptive that parrots get to stop egg laying. If you go the their website they are very anti egg laying for their rescue hens. Continuous egg-laying is very hard on chicken's bodies. Audrey Hepbird is in much better place there then dodging hawks, eagles, occasional owl, dogs that are supposed to be leashed and feral cats here.

I’m afraid I haven’t been able to capture any photos, but the killdeer babies are out and running around here. Oh my word are they cute!! Little balls of fluffy feathers with long legs!

In my area, we have these beautiful green ring neck parrots. There are just absolty massive flocks of them and are so pretty. It’s quite unexpected though as I live in Manchester, U.K. But it’s a beautiful sight to see (and hear)
