Guess I cannot correct misspelled word. Sorry
We all make typos, so I´m sure most can see what the word was meant to be. I know I make typos and usually I just leave them and don´t bother changing them (unless it is someones name) :)

These two little ladies are so beautifully colored, so adorably floofy and so sweet to each other! I’m so happy for all of you. You’ve been through plenty of sad things with your birds, so it just seem extra special that these two are together and doing so well with you!

Have you had any updates on Roger?
Apparently Roger's doing really well. He's eating, fully socialised and no more barbering. I'll post some photos when his breast grows back in.

There's been a small change to my little flock. I've always kept an even mix of male/female budgies, usually 2 of each. We're introducing a young male foster to see how things go. If it goes well there may be a second male. If not then I'll go back to just the two girls. I want to give them a full social life but I'm not taking any risks, especially with Holly.
I'm not going out at all today so I'm already introducing them. So here he is, the first male, Silva (Sylvester).

He is grey, though the full spectrum lighting is allowing his sky blue to show through. He's 10 months old and very calm for a new guy and has already taken some millet from me through the bars. He has already gotten into the girls' cage so all food is outside now until I get him back into his own. If I struggle with that I'll just use the divider and split the big cage.

Looks like I'm getting another male when I find a suitable one. Silva has won Angel's heart and I have to separate Holly at bedtime for her own safety and my own sanity. During the day everything is great still and all 3 play well together. Angel will still feed Holly so the bond is still there. It's just at night when they roost Angel doesn't want Holly anywhere near.
I don't want to return Silva. He's great with both the girls and even me, and Angel is obviously smitten.
I'l be taking Holly to the vet's in a couple of weeks when she has a checkup and while there we'll be letting her choose her own cagemate.
This isn't what I expected or intended, but as long as they're all happy and healthy.

Birds are always surprising us with how they react to things! ;)

As you said, as long as they're happy and healthy...then it's cool...:yes3:

As you can see daddy got his treat too. Monkey see monkey do lol. Holly would be there too only she still has to work out how to land it.

Things are back to normal. The new boy novelty has worn off, the honeymoon is over. I now have a stable flock of 3 with no fighting. Angel is preening Holly, Holly is trying to preen Silva, but no one is preening Angel. The girls are both in moult and Angel has a necklace of pinnies.

Question, does holly get red patches where the back of her leg is holding her weight on the platform?

That's my concern too. I check her every day and no problems so far (she likes hanging by her beak giving a great view), but she's only spending a max of 30 mins on the platforms daily anyway. I put the platforms on for her but the other two make more use of them, I think she still feels vulnerable on them.
