Gryphon is one of the prettiest birds I've ever seen! And he *looks* like a gryphon! I love the tail. Wow. Please keep posting pics!

Gryphon delights in a pink hibiscus flower, and pics of his new 'birdie buddy' and cajeput coffee table perches{3}~

this is the medium, though it appears to me to be larger than the one sold to me as lg, months ago, but from a different source..

He plays with more stuff on my desk than in his cage, but he does play with what is in his cage a little as well. He LOVES the new cajeput perches, and has started sleeping hanging between his new birdie buddy and the toy with the long white strings.

Oh...Here is the size of the Mazuri softbill pellets they sent. I have then in a bowl with some Zupreem to show size. The mousers just swallow them whole.

You can see them in these pics, the yellow thing in the middle, and the piece of natural wood w/ natural strings hanging down.I am so happy they like the pellets!

I wish I had a video camera. You would love to hear and see how cute he is. Some things about Gryphon~
In the a.m., I go in and take him from his cage. I place my hand up next to where he is hanging at the top, and he releases his grip and gets in my hand. Then I place him next to my chest and he always climbs under my shirt, and continuously makes this soft sound. I don't know how to describe the sound, but it doesn't sound like a bird sound at all. He loves to be with me, and would prefer to be with me all the time. I take him out all throughout the day, as much as possible. I let him play in my office while I work and he loves to sit on the slats of the blinds and watch outside. The other night I realized if I held him up close to the top when returning him for bed at night, instead of putting him in front of the perch, he will grasp the top and go right into his sleeping position. I just think he is the coolest bird ever.

Does he also vibrate a little as he makes his sounds?

Have you tried his heating pad yet?

He sounds so cute! I would love to hear the sounds he makes. Carole where did you get the round perch with the white ropes coming off of it? I love that!

He is the greatest bird Susanne! I cannot thank you enough for all the joy he brings me every day. He does wiggle around at first.I have not tried the pad yet, but could have last night. I will try it tonight.

Susanne and Carole...one of these days I'll have to see these mouse birds in person. It is so hard to picture a soft bill that grasps like a parrot. How unique.
