I can't get over the TAIL!! And such a pretty blue on him!
He's such a great and unique bird!!

Carole...the red is really showing up good on his face in your pix's.

Would you beleive the WB tails are just a little bit longer?

And in another year his tail will probably gain about 1/4' more in length. He's still a groing boy

Thank you. Yes it might help, but in all honesty I know relatively little about photography. I remember when I purchased my tripod years ago it made a night and day difference in the ease of taking photos. They turned out more crisp due to less accidental hand movements. Ask Saroj for pointers. She recently acquired a tripod and she could inform you about how to use them effectively.

Thanks Titanis. I remember when I got my camera-it's a Canon G5. I thought I would be able to take great photos. The camera does not make a photographer...I soon learned that.. I think you are right about the shakey hands. The only thing about a tripod is it's a little hard to be spontaneous. I will ask Saroj. She takes excellent photos.

Thanks again. He is very soft, his feathers almost feel fur-like. And the name, it fits him very well. If you look at pics of gryphons{griffins} they almost always have their claws out front, and they have the head feathers/crest.

Love seeing his picture and because I have "shaky hands", I have learned to hold my arms against my body to take some pictures...doesn't work for all of them but it might do in a pinch...
