Got the official dummy eggs in the mail a few days ago. Have not used them yet. Still letting Emma lay her full first ideal size clutch (see other post for explanation). When I got the eggs out of the packaging though, I was a little disappointed. Now I know probably 99.98% of you here are going to tell me that it doesn't matter and she wont notice, but I will and I am a perfectionist. The dummy eggs have clear markers from the molding process and that just drives me bonkers. So I spent some time sanding (All using 220 grit) down the edges from the molding process and roughed up the surface to give an more egg like texture, plus remove the shine from the plastic. The now sanded eggs look MUCH more natural! Here is a before (right) and after (left) picture.
