My quaker parrot has recently been having issues. They are missing a ton of feathers from the cloaca area, and poop has been getting stuck. I can't afford an avian vet, so I was wondering if there's anything I could do for them. They seem to be doing reasonably fine, but there have been moments where they would make a sound and fluff up as if they were trying to poop. Is there a way to solve this without the vet? My mom doesn't want us to go to the vet because if we do we will lose all money. Our other bird, green cheek conure, has a perfectly fine but and there's no feathers or anything missing. We have been wiping the quakers butt, and my mom thinks that diaper rash and countertop medication might help while I don't want to risk doing something wrong.
