Before you mentioned an issue with preen gland. This is often linked with a poor diet , like an all seed diet. Lacking vitamins found in fresh veggies, sprouts, some fruits, or pellets. Especially linked with low vitamin A.

It can also get infected or impacted with or without infection. Still often linked with diet initially

Pictures really would help. Please don't feel bad if your bird is missing feathers from plucking. Plucking is complex , can be health or behavioral. And many member have birds that pluck

I always give her fresh veggies, but mostly she only likes peas and kale and cucumber! But i think her diet has been a little one sided, she mostly eats Harrison bird pellets but i promise i always give her veggies everyday

I will take a picture as soon as i can, thankyou for mentioning the diet i will improve it! But maybe the molt makes her immune system a little sluggy or how you said it, my vet told this a year ago to me, all i want to do is to make her stop pick at it

Your diet sounds great! So this can just be impacting or something else.

I hear you, we all worry over are feather kids.

Did you have vet look at while it's bad?

Molt is stressful for sure, often chronic health issues rare up at this time .

No vet has taken a look at it, but its not bleeding just a tiny little its not even visible when she picks on it, but its still concerning, my parents are sick and my mom wanted first to check with an online vet becuase it free for us, but if the vet recomends to take to a physical vet i will make sure she will go to the vet! My bird is acting normal and acts fine❤

the only remedy we can do right know is to clean the area with saltwater, two times a day, they also told us that this wound is pretty deep, the wound does not smell either way, the only problem right now is her to not pick at it wich is hard

Not sure where you are but it is Sunday where I am (Aus) so I am hoping you do not have to wait much longer to see the vet.

Poor birdie. She has definitely gotten herself into some trouble with that preen gland .

Good job in getting vet appt. They will be able to help you with this.

We will be waiting for your update tomorrow..
