Hello I'm new bird owner this year. My story the love for birds is.... My daughter asked me if she can bring her pets to live at our home from her dad's house, of course I said yes, she is a responsible pet owner. So she decided to bring her 4 birds from her Dad's to live at our home, permanently, I am Mom btw. ☺

After the first week of the birds moving in I noticed how chatty they were. Over the next few weeks you can't help but notice these small chatty small creatures, as they were flying around and being so social. I became intrigued and realized, what fascinating little budgie creatures they are.

So yes this is what started my love for birds. There more but this is the short version. We now have 10 Budgies and 1 Conure, my limit is 12 birds, no more. I would love so much more but I have to keep it real. Lol

Anyhow Nice to meet the community.

:hello: and welcome!

Your flock can talk?
My flock cannot talk, the first four were my daughters birds, when she brought to live at my home, I knew nothing about birds, as I we added six more now I know a whole lot about budgies.
Though they don't speak English words, they will interact with me, it has been a long process to gain there TRUST. I Have learned to be so patient and omg it was never wrecking, lol it was hard, to be patient with my budgies.
Now it's paid off a lot but still a work in progress.
There is one budgie, My Kakashi baby that I am very attached to, we have a bond.

Is it possible that a budgie 6-12 months can still learn to talk? Or no

Oh, I was asking @Ripshod. Sarcastically. But to answer your question, yes, they can learn to talk starting at about four months old I believe, and single budgies have a higher chance of learning how. :)
