And here is Pinks new babies. When I checked yesterday afternoon there were 3 eggs. And this morning 2 babies and an egg. By the size difference one must have hatched late last night.

Yes, they do have big heads, and big appetites

Matt...yes it is. The eggs only take 12 days from the time of being laid to hatch. The eggs are laid every day.

Carole...This is a Horrid pix of her. She looks grubby because she took a bath in the food dish and is all sticky. I'll try to get some better pixs of her later...
And next is the 3 new brats. As soon as I open their little carrier they hop out ready for food. You can tell from the back of their heads which is the female and males
Pinks still has 2 babies and 1 egg. The babies are doing great.

The newest BN chicks are growing like weeds!
The other 3 got moved in with Belle and Little Bit. I put 2 nests on the shelf...BUT the bigger brats like to crowd in with the little ones. And that Little Bit thinks she is a Mommy bird and tries to feed the babies The little ones will nibble on banana and papaya...

AWWW..look at the refugees. Susanne...the poor things will be pooping all over each other. How about a cage a bit bigger than a shoe box?
The babies look great & fat! Troy has ordered parts for my left rear wheel. We are just going to replace the shoes, the bearing, and the hub. Hopefully that will fix me up to take my trip. I told him I would call you and say I couldn't make it, and he said hold off..and lets see if we can get this wheel fixed first. So the plan is still to come Sunday if all goes well.

Carole...at this age they need to be close together for heat. Belle and Little Bit will either hang or sleep on the other shelf below. I don't want to put the little ones in anything bigger until they are at least 8 weeks old. Belle will later be moved to the big black cage as these little ones wean out.

LOL...the 5 refugees were hanging on the side of the cage for food. I gave the babies formula and of course the big ones had to have a taste. Kirby was eating some broccali and Little Bit and Belle had to have some. Both of them like to use their right foot for holding food. Little Bit got her pink band for girl on her leg today... She is good at hanging by a toe or two

Wow! Look at them go. I so hope Little Bit can refine Mr. Gryphon's eating habits, to include good things like broccoli. He sticks his nose up at it, or puts it in his sand bowl. I assume this was cooked broccoli?
