Hi everyone!
I hope everyone is doing well
I’ve had lovebirds for nearly 10 years now and am quite familiar with a lot of mutations. I’ve also worked at an avian specialty store for 10 years, working extensively with breeders and our avian vet. However, my one baby lovebird has myself and a few breeders completely stumped on his mutation. I don’t know the mutations of his parents either, as this was a new breeder who didn’t tell us.
Originally, we thought he was a white-faced blue, but he’s now 10 months old and seems to really be changing color. He now has an orange brow and a variation of green and blue feathers coming in, not just blue. I’ve attached a few pictures with and without flash. He also has a cream replacing some of his original white.
Any ideas to what mutation?? Thank you!
