Hi everyone!
Here to introduce my newest family member. A 3 1/2 month old Congo African Grey. (hatched Nov 13, 2020) First vet checkup was yesterday and vet said it looks great and healthy, was very social and even untied the vets mask! It’s gender is still unknown, dna testing was done yesterday, so should know in about 2 weeks. I can’t wait because for now I call it, he, she....it so hard to choose a name without knowing gender. We are leaning towards the name Turkey. he/she has never had its wings clipped and I plan to keep it that way, fully flighted. I have had cockatiels and budgies in the past but this is my first larger parrot. I in no way consider myself a bird expert, but I am learning and appreciate any helpful tips and knowledge. I am also new to the forum world so if I post something incorrectly I apologize.
