Hello!
I have a sweet lovebird that is new to our family, we are in an old apartment where the heating isn’t good.
We need to use other sources to take the chill off the room, I am aware of harmful PTFE chemicals and Teflon to avoid and looking for advice !

Are Dyson hot + cool Fan air purifier safe ?
when I try to reach out to dyson directly they said there isn’t any Teflon but MAY contain material with chemicals - it seems hard to get a direct answer of material used for the heating element. I am considering Dyson as there is a function to set when room temperature gets cold it’ll turn in to maintain a proper temperature automatically.

Im curious and anyone Has experience using Dysons with their feather family members ! Also open to suggestion for other brands that are safe !
Picture attached for Dyson being considered and a picture of Powder :)

Many here use oil-filled electric radiators like Delonghi or radiant cage heaters like Sweeter Heaters.

It is frustrating! Because now many companies use cousin chemicals to Teflon and they are equally dangerous.

I have noticed which is why I’m so hesitant - but our apartment gets really cold when it’s -17C - -25C outside - the apartment gets to 20 C which is chilly . We have a heat heat lamp designed for Powders cage that helps keep heat for her specifically but not during the night because I don’t want to keep her up from the light. I attached a photo of what we use.
I am now researching into Delonghi oil radiators- just unsure if they are all safe or if some may be oil filled but coated in some PTFE chemicals - and sadly a lot of information isn’t easy to find online. I don’t really trust a lot of reps when contacting manufacturers because you get so many different replies

None of the Delonghi oil-filled radiators have PTFE/PFOA etc. You do need to "burn" them off outside for a couple hours, as with anything else that heats there is some smell at first.
