FINALLY Ready to Adopt… LF a Jardine’s!

After years of patience and admiration from a distance, I’m finally prepared to start a relationship with a bird of my own!

…that is, if I can find one.

I have my heart set on a Jardine’s, but it seems like there are none to be found. I have any new poicephalus postings drop listed on petfinder, I’ve emailed four different rescues to be put on waiting lists, and I regularly scour Craigslist to no avail.

Does anyone have any current leads on a Jardine’s in need of a home? I’m located in Idaho, but I’m willing to travel.

They are unfortunately not super common in the US.

For what it's worth, mine was on Craigslist back in 2018 and they had him listed as a conure. So be sure to be broad with your search! A lot of people might not know what they have. Mine is often called an Amazon.
