The crop empties on it´s own.

Is there a vet near you?
If no, call the breeder now and ask them if they know how to empty the crop.
He could have an infection, really he needs a vet if the crop is not emptying.
That is a serious amount of weight.

If no vet and your breeder won´t help, call another breeder and ask if they can help you.

There is no magic potion, that chick need help now.

@Raminlich How is the chick?

You mentioned on a previous thread your other bird lives in your room, if you are a child, please get your parents to help you. Explain to them what is going on and tell them it is very serious.

i'm sure i can find these.

one thing i'm worrying about is that i feel his digestion is little slow , his crop will not go flat after 4 hours.
someone suggested to add little apple vinegar to his food formula , but i'm not sure !! i'm afraid it will hurt him , what do you say?

Raminlich, if the crop does not completely empty he could have a sour crop caused by the formula not completely digesting and sitting in the crop. This leads to a growth of bacteria which in time will be fatal for your chick. Do you have any access to a veterinarian that can check him over and test for any bacteria present? Yes, you can add a couple drops of apple cider vinigar ( unfiltered is best... you will see sediment in the bottom of the bottle) to his formula. Doing this will help but if he has a bacteria present the vinigar will not be sufficient. I really think he needs to be seen by a vet.

once i heard there is a vet but he is not an avian vet , i said well let's shoot the last bullet maybe there is still hope.
so i took him to vet after he saw it immediately said his food is the problem

You took this bird to the vet before, he needs to go there now.

The chick weighed 48 grams on monday, and 41 grams yesterday, you say he lost 27 grams (or he weighs 27 grams).

This baby is in critical condition and will die if he does not get vet attention.

I only hope and pray that all the silence is because you were at the vet.

Hi guys again ,
fortunately the chick survived , my loss of hope was because the vet i visited had no experience with birds and knew almost nothing about them he just said give him food , even i know more than him.
so today i found another , didn't find it but in processing of searching suddenly saw another , he said looks like chick has swelling intestine , that time his crop was really small but still not flat.
he gave tablets and told me dissolve it in water ( i don't know what is the tablets because he didn't give me the whole, he just gave me two piece and said break one of them into 4 pieces, these 4 pieces should be enough for 4 days and said you might get result after 4 days however he didn't guaranty for the result ) and prepare his food with that water. right now his weight is stable he is not losing weight and now it's 33 grams.
his poops are Ok , and looks like he is gaining some strength.

I am so relieved to hear that!!!!❤

Is the chick eating normally now?

Did you get a plastic box with wood shavings to keep him clean?

Did you manage to clean his beak and remove dried food?

I know the birds are separated, but usually only a child or teenager says ¨my room¨ and I was saying that if you are a young person, to get your parents to help you

he doesn't get tip of syringe by himself , but when put it in his mouth he will start eating.

yes i got plastic box but used straw ( is it ok? ) for now until i find wood shaving.

yes cleaned all dried food from his beak , face and his body.

well.. English is not my native language also we here live with parents for a long time ( economic reasons ) that's why is said my room.

one question is feathers in pillows ok for making him warmer?

Yes, so he eats when you pùt syringe in. good.

yes i got plastic box
good

but used straw ( is it ok? )
I think straw is bad and can make the bird sick. Do you have a cotton pillowcase to use tonight? and buy the wood tomorrow.

yes cleaned all dried food from his beak , face and his body.
great

Best to use a heat pad, if you so not have, then a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel.
If you had wood shavings , that would help keep him warm

Probably he aspirated. He needs a vet, antibiotics, and critical care immediately. Unfortunately this is the risk of someone inexperienced trying to hand feed.

He does look like he's having labored breathing. With all the problems he's had he could have a respiratory infection. You mentioned your vet giving you some pills. What exactly were they? When was the last time you fed him? Did he have any problems taking the formula? Did he cough any the last time you fed him like choking a little bit on formula?

No, there is no way to do it yourself. I am not a vet so I cannot tell you what medications to use. Even with the best of medical care, aspiration is often fatal.

Do you see formula coming out of his nose or can you see formula down his nostrils?
