My Christmas Present To Me!! New Betta!

I am thinking Zen for the male & Karma for the female. Do you like it?
You know, sometimes it pays to complain a little. I had called to say the edge of my plants stand was broken. I got not much more than an "I'm sorry". Being inexpensive, but heavy so not so cheap on shipping, it seemed silly to send it back just for a chipped corner. But, I still felt they could have compensated me somehow. After the phone conversation they sent an e-mail to ask if that had solved the problem. I said, well not really....it still kind of leaves a person not wanting to purchase items off the internet.
This morning there is a new e-mail saying I can return it, or get a partial refund. Now that I think is fair..I will get the partial refund for $8., so it cost me under $30.

Hi Sarah, how are you on this lovely morning? Thanks for the suggestion. I think Zen is cool, in the "Chi" tank. Karma, well that sounds feminine enough. Or I could call her Eve, for Christmas Eve. But then the whole Zen & Karma thing doesn't work.
I am anxious to find out if he made it ok. I might call Pegasus today to ask.{The transhipper}

By the way, Mike was watching Harry Potter last night and asked I f I was going to watch with him. I said, "Nope, never have I seen a single movie or read one of the books and don't want to play catch up now!" Geez, I could be slayed for this comment!

Of all days for the brown guy to be so late.
I have been waiting all day. The fish have been out for delivery since 4:30 a.m.. I begged the transhipper, even paid for a higher priority. He kept insisting on sending it this way, and sent me back some money. I did not want my money back, I wanted my fish here this morning. They would have been here no later than 10:30 a.m. I am sick with worry.

Well...just after I posted..he shows!
The heat pack was still working.They were just a little chilly.There are in opaque blue bags. But, I held them up to the light and I see movement..I think I am in luck.
Now for the warming up and acclimation.

oh Carole im so sorry. I so understand how horrible it is to wait! When I got my cockatoo's they were HOURS late, I was so upset

I hope they are okay, Carole. Zen is splendid. I had a blue male Betta named George when I was stationed in Korea--he was prettier than any Betta I've ever seen here in the States. I was really attached to the little guy but unfortunately I couldn't bring him back here with me. I can't wait to see pics after they're acclimated.

No kidding, it was the coldest day yet.
They are ok, the male's tail is a bit shredded, but he did not bite it.{They do sometimes from stress}
The female is perfect!
The pics are not great, as it was so late, and I did not want to blast them with light their first night out, after being boxed up for a day.
