This forum is for advice about initial treatment given to your injured/sick bird until a qualified avian veterinarian is available. THIS IS NOT MEANT TO REPLACE VET CARE
She is starting to clean herself but she gets tired really fast. She is breathing really hard once again with a rap rap sound. Over all she looks better. She is still fluffed up. I will take anything I can get. The one thing that worries me is I can't get her to drink since I got home. So right now we are cuddling.. I know its going to take a long time until she is back to herself.
I'm glad she still seems like she is improving. I hope her breathing starts to get better. She must be so happy to cuddle with you. Just keep water constantly close and hopefully she will drink some soon. Thanks for the update!
I wouldnt give her milk. Just keep offering water, but dont force it so she doesnt aspirate. You might try something with a high water content, such as half a grape. I had a vet tell me this was a good source of fluid for birds.
mindee she is lovely im so glad your husband has supported you through all this it sure helps give him a hug for me please
try adding some un sweetened juice to her warm water , and offer it from a spoon it judt might help

She was starting to chrip some. She also spent the whole night on her bed.. I had leave early today so I am hoping that my husband can get her to drink.
My little girl is doing better finally.. Each day she looks better. She is not out of the woods but we are on or way.. I think I can relax and just enjoy her now.. She gets tired fast and sleeps a lot.. Her personality is coming back. She is not drinking how I want her too but we are working on it..
