Welcome to the avenue!! I have not had a Pionus before but I do know that no bird is perfect. I would go somewhere like a breeder to look at the Pionus’s or other bird options and spend time with them to see which one fits your requirements. Like I thought that budgies were super quiet until I got one and he ended up being loud. Each bird has a different personality so no individual is the same.

Hi, she is shy but in one week we managed to target train her, step up on hand and fly to us when callings her. She is responding to the command with the three of us. Of course she is only acting like that because she knows she will have a treat. She is really gentle but does not allow to be petted yet. She is cristal clear in her intentions and easy to read signals. We love her.
