@Shezbug do you know much about King parrots? This isn't the first time we've spotted this guy around our place but I believe he's alway been alone, never had a mate with him. I also always thought King parrot lived more coastal (I live nowhere near the coast). I'm kinda wondering if this is an escaped bird.

No sorry I really don’t know much about them at all. They’ve never been a regular visitor to any of the areas I’ve lived in as far as I know. Looks like they do tend to make appearances in a few areas different to their normal habit.

Haven't been here for awhile. Busy with new bird and life. Here's some friendly creatures from my back yard. Btw, I now have 3 caterpillars. One is a Geometer Moth, one is a Pale Beauty and one is a Definite Tussock Moth.

This little chorus frog looked like a gold nugget in the green grass.

This is the Pale Beauty caterpillar.

And this is a Pale Beauty Moth that my inchworm should turn into.

I believe this fellow is a red paper wasp. Unfortunately, I did not notice him on my windshield as I was leaving my doctor’s parking lot after an appointment. He rode all the way home with me—which is about 3 or 4 miles. I hope he finds his way!

The 2nd day I had Ted (the Tussock Moth) he pupated. They use their own hair to make their "cacoon" and it's transparent. Here's Ted's excellent morphing adventure up to this day. Sorry they didn't come out in the order I selected.

A beautiful goanna was visiting my house today. Need to sort how often he/she will visit, as the doggo was way too keen to say hello... which would be terrible for goanna and dog.

I am in Queensland. And yep they are a type of monitor. They mostly are found in the local forests. They spend a lot of time up in trees.

Wow. That would have been bad if your dog tangled with it.

They are neat lizards but I’d be afraid to get bitten by germy teeth. I’d rather have an iguana or a leopard gecko.

Holy cow you better keep Gimli in! Gimli is small enough to be an easy meal for that beauty.

Lol my huge dog got attacked by a blue tongue she got too excited about, he left her a nice little hole in her lip.
