I'm so sorry to hear about your baby! I hope you get encouraging news from your vet. I have seen how adaptable birds can be though, so even if Wren isn't able to heal comnpletely, hopefully she'll still be able to live a normal life.
I've got a 'tiel with a broken beak (it's the lower beak and was broken on one side, right at the point where the beak attaches to the skin). Although her beak continues to grow, it's never fully healed and reattached to the skin, so I have to make some modifications to her diet, but I swear, she doesn't even realize it's broken! We also have a CAG at the shelter who lost his entire lower beak and functions just like any parrot with both beaks.
Sorry for the long post, but just wanted to reinforce what others were saying about birds being adaptable to a wide range of health problems.
Hopefully Wren will heal completely and you won't even have to worry about her adapting!
