my kakariki recently lost two of his toes on a door that was slightly closed. there was quite a bit of blood loss and his rubbed it on his body and skin. i think it’s irritating him but i don’t want to give him a bath yet just in case of infection. when should i give him a bath?

Have you taken the bird to a vet? It´s extremely important you seek medical help for meds and pain meds. They will be able to tell you when you can bathe him, but I would think not until the toes heal.
Keep him in his travel cage until you can get to the vet to stop him climbing or falling and causing more bleeding in the meantime.
