I made this video 4 days ago and forgot to post it

She loves her formula so much, but if I try to touch her she gets dramtic about it. She wants to eat from the syringe all on her own. She is 18 weeks old and has formula twice a day.

My boys still love the forumla and they are 7 and 3... no I don't give it to them but if they see it they will try and get over and go as far as licking it off the bird.

Sydney likes formula. Also Aldora likes it when she´s laying or brooding, so I sometimes give her a little in a clean syringe if I have any left, Sydney just gets a blob every now and then as a treat

Yes, she plays the baby role of, ¨give me baby food¨.... but then wants to be the big bird

That bird will be very independent as an adult.

She almost is an adult She is fully grown, her brow is darkening up and she should be having her first moult in about a month

She eats millet like a goat.
She prefers to eat it from the sprig. I have a piece hung for her, then I have a pot of millet on the floor near her tunnel which she does eat from time to time. She has seed mix in the SS dish at the top of the ladder but she seldom eats that, I think I may move the dish. I offer veggies on a lid on the floor, she will eat a little but not a great deal.

What age do lovebirds usually wean? I hang millet for my linnies sometimes but they'll absolutely gorge themselves if I don't monitor. Just got my scale, going to weigh Aoife shortly.

at around week 5-6 you can introduce foods, monitoring closely. And they wean quick, usually by week 7-8 . Lapis and Nube were about 9-10 weeks old when they weaned.

Aoife is 45.3 g. Galahad is about 5g under the norm too, guess I can feed them a pinch more.

A lot people have been breeding with not high quality birds some birds that have been produced are smaller. Loki is on the small side but sadly she is bigger that most lovebirds that I've seen come in for grooming. She is a steady 48g, don't think sh would ever hit the average 52g mark.

Interesting. I have never weighed them until today. I knew I was supposed to be, but hadn't got around to getting a scale. I'll check her over the next few weeks and see what her average is.

You also have a mask and they are smaller than a peach face, so average mask weight I think is 50g
