No I cannot change her name now, after all because I have the name Cinderella on the microchip and a custom made tag for her collar. Oh well...…
You could always call her "Ella" as a causal name. Just an idea!

Edit: Just saw Pepebirdie's comment, I think that Cindy will also work. :)

I think her name could be changed on the chip; it's just updated in the computer.

Even if you don't change her name officially, she can always have a nickname. :) Think of all those fancy show horses with names like "Little Miss Muffett" but everyone just calls them "May".

Thanks for the nick name suggestions. I like them all. I like Cindy better than Cinder. I forgot how cats get into an excited mood and run around like the devil is after them. That is what she did this morning about 5:30 am. Little stinker.

Name her whatever you want! You can update the chip thing. You can update the vet's records when you choose a new name.

When I rescue, especially if they've had a bad life before - the old name doesn't cross my lips. They get a totally new life.
