The little Hobgoblin is home and snug and safe!
No new pictures
just yet, because I'm a terrible person and I love to leave you in suspense.
No, but she was super sleepy by the time we got back, so I got her all tucked up in her little temporary housing situation, fawned over her for a million years, then left her alone to go to sleep...and entirely forgot about taking pictures. Wwwwwwhoops. She's dead to the world in a dark room now, so I'm just going to wait until tomorrow to shower you with her beauty.
The vets gave me the lowdown about her condition over the past few days, and man, she is just the toughest little string bean. And, great news about her leg: because of the spot where her foot was amputated, she actually has some tarsometatarsus left, which she has been using to hop about like a little cricket (hey, there's another name idea...Kricket
). She doesn't have to put her weight on the actual stump, which is great because it'll have a much better chance of healing. And be less painful!
Weird diagram to show where her leg ends:
Overall, the Adventures of Tiny 'Tiel have been long and harrowing and dangerous and stressful, but I don't regret a second. She has all the fight in the world packed in her little body, and she deserves every chance to live her life to the absolute fullest.
Welcome home, itty bitty.
