Necklace for my boys

For any that don't know my birds' names are themed after the Arrow TV show/Green Arrow characters. I decided to actually do something quick and neat with their feathers and I'm happy with the way it turned out. Once I get a more lime feather from Diggle that will replace the first feather since it looks a lot like Slade's at the back.

A local craft store called Pat Catan's. I did fine them online as well, I just didn't want to wait for shipping so looked for it locally.

I do too, obviously haha. I'm like that about everything though. I always say to my husband that it looks like all the things I liked threw up on me when I walk out of the house.

What @Chelsey didn't mention was my order! Yep, a vial is on its way here! Good idea!!!

When I get to pick the names, they either get named after literary characters or ancestors. There was no ancestor named Charlie so Tommy got named after a second cousin that I found out was still alive. HAHA

Oh yeah, the one on the right looks kind of like the one I got. They had that other one with the wings in store, but it was a bit shorter so I went with this one. I honestly didn't even realize they sold them online At least now I know and can direct people there!

They're a little over 2" long. I figured the additional 0.2" was the round connector. I chose the one without wings because more of the clear vial showed. To fit the coverlets around here, they'd have to be several inches long but I opened her top desk drawer and found some shorter ones and hope the budgies lose some shorter ones.
Molting season... Gotta love it.

The one in the very front that's short was actually a cut feather, so when he looses the right color feather I'll probably cut it again. I like that it isn't a permanent thing so I can switch them out as they molt feathers that will look better.
