Meet Opal

Hi all, this is Opal my family’s GCC. We got her Christmas last year but I have only just joined this forum. We all adore her, she is the sweetest little mischievous cuddle pie . We’re all still learning and I’m hoping that I can learn lots as a member here, I would hate to do anything to hurt her.

Here is a picture of her cage… any advice on how I could improve it. I clean it with diluted apple cider vinegar and use all natural perches that are also washed. The tea box is filled with seeds and veggies. She also has water and pellets

I think a thicker perch as those look a bit thin & maybe a platform perch would be nice

Good observation... I missed that... At least they're clean! Might want to consider getting metal clips instead of the plastic ones.

HEY!!!--- Just noticed--- the ribbon hanging in middle of cage is DANGEROUS-- Too easy to get tangled.
And is that a large red rubberband stretched on the front of the cage w/ small white 'peg' holding it taunt?
