I guess I just jumped right on here with questions about my bird with zero intro. Still hoping he'll be better with a close watch, bland warm foods, and a warm humidity control area until someone can see him or it clears up...
Anyways hello! So glad I could find forms with bird care because so many people seem to offer no solid advice to me and I'd love to know more about these birds to offer mine the best care.
My name is Hailey. I'm from Pennsylvania, in my 20s, and have had exotic birds since I was 10, starting with my first budgie John. John lived to be 12 and shortly after, a scarlet macaw fell in to my care. I fell madly in love with large exotic birds but unfortunately due to breeder neglect, she had contracted wasting disease and passed at only five years old. I was crushed. Everything was pitched and deep cleaned and after some time of grieving, an albino budgie came to me and now a Triton cockatoo. So that's where I sit now: a six year old albino budgie named Birch (female), and a seven month old triton named Jolly (male). It's so funny because these two are polar opposites: Birch just pretends Jolly doesnt exist and does her own thing (had some aggression issues due to being kept in crowded cage at the breeder so she doesnt have a companion). Jolly on the other hand loves to see, touch, and explore all and is super affectionate. They're both just the love of me and my boyfriends life lol.
Thank you for having me! Sorry that was so long winded! I may come off as paranoid and thorough sometimes due to the incident with the macaw making me super paranoid over my feather children's health. You all seem nice! Happy Holidays and please stay cozy everyone!
