I've been meaning to buy some more toys for Lawrence for a while now, as my selection is pretty slim (and dull-- quality toys that aren't just cheap plastic covered with bells and mirrors are hard to find where I live), but a few days ago I had the cash to splurge on my little buddy
She's had issues with feather chewing, so I bought her a bunch of things to chew (she's not really into chewing wood, only de-barking it, and I've only recently gotten her onto paper lol) and some more foot toys for out-of-cage time
She now also has only one piece of dowel left in her cage thanks to these new natural perches (which are larger in diameter than her other ones for some more variety ), which she only goes on to do tricks, so it may not be long for this world either
Also decided to give these a go for a different sort of treat:
Lawrence seems to like all her new bits so far, and has been working on chewing the bark off of the dark brown perch for the last half an hour, so that's a relief!
(oh, and I bought all of this from Parrot Rescue Centre Home - Caring for Pet Parrots in Australia , who are great! )
