Hello everyone,
I have been here for a couple of days now, but haven't had time to do this yet. Some of you may already know a bit about me from my thread about a Mixed Species Aviary.
I have been keeping birds for a few years now, including budgies, finches, cockatiels, red rumped parakeets and celestial parrotlets!! My first bird was a budgie, and my most recent is my pair of parrtotlets. The avian collection is not all that can be found at my house, I also have: Berber skinks, 2 ponds, 4 aquariums, a musk turtle, rabbits, gerbils and a marginated tortoise, that we rescued recently.
If you have read, or have been involved with, my thread about a mixed species aviary, you will know that there are plans to expand this further and build a new aviary, housing 34 birds, including java sparrows, zebra finches, budgies and more!!
As well as this, I would love to get a rescue bird sometime soon, and have my eye on a senegal. That being said, I would live to have a scarlet macaw, but unfortunately don't have the funds to be able to get one.
Thank you for welcoming me to your forum, and I hope I can help out others, whilst gaining valuable information for myself through this adventure (you may have guessed I have never been on a forum before)!!!
Ali
