I recently got a bag of frozen veggies for my Pineapple Conure

I carrots, peas and califlour as well as fresh Kale.
1. Just want to double check that these are all safe to feed her?

2. How should I go about giving the veggies to her?
Let them unthaw for a bit?
Give them to her, frozen?

Thanks in advance!

They are safe as long as you got the froz veg that have no added salt.
You can either just defrost and feed them or you can cook them like you would for yourself and feed them when they’re cool enough to be safe.

Depends on the bird :) I had a Quaker who preferred them frozen!

Everything in that mix is safe, and I usually let the in the fridge overnight, otherwise you can run under lukewarm water to quickly thaw it. Microwave works, too!

I just looked on the back of the bag, they all have Sodium in them.
Is this natural or added?

Thank you!

Also, I mistyped, I got broccoli not califlour.

Is broccoli okay?

Thank you again!

Check the ingredients list. :) If the ingredients just list vegetables, there are no other added ingredients. If they are salted, it will say in the ingredients list.
If it's helpful, you can share a photo of the nutrition facts for us.

Broccoli is also good for birds.

I use frozen veggies all the times, the ones you have, plus many more.
I add veggie pasta or wild rice at times. Chop some fruit and a quick mix is made.
I cook mine as my birds love the warmed stuff.
As long as the mix is not seasoned, your good.
Watch for onions added, many mixes are now adding them, and onions are a no no for birds.
Also watch for hot spots if you're using a microwave.

Lots of foods have natural sodium in them so as the others have said just check the ingredients list. All the ones I buy have sodium but none of them list anything but the vegetable in the ingredients list so therefore there is only natural sodium from the vegetables in them. Some of the frozen veg do have added salt and other things in it so always check the ingredients :)
