How old do you think Chirp is?

Hi all!

Something I've been trying to figure out since I got Chirp is how old he is. So I figured I'd see if anybody on here could help me out!

Here are the important details:

• I've had Chirp since May 24th, 2016 (A little bit over 6 months!)
• He only has a couple of bars on his head (and they're really faded), and it's pretty much been like that since I got him.
• His cere is a bright beautiful blue, typical of a male parakeet
• His eyes still look like they're all black, there's no defined pupil and iris.

I was thinking he might be just under a year old? I don't know. The store I got him from didn't give me any details, and he didn't have a band on his ankle. When I took Chirp in for his first vet visit (on May 29th, 2016), the vet commented that he wouldn't be a baby for much longer.

That's kind of where I'm at. I'm just trying to figure out around when he was hatched (maybe to the month?). Hopefully we can figure this out!

Given his bars are no longer visible and you saw some when you got him he may be between 1 and 2 years of age. He sure is a cutie!

I would say minimum 1 year old
