My budgie seems to be very irritated from molting. She would move his head rapidly right after scratching a spot (trying to get a feather out). She would also make those mad budgie noises (if you have a budgie you know what im talking about). She would make the noises them while she his scratching. Whenever i go and put my finger right above his feet she would think that im doing it for no reason and she would bite me her hardest. After 2 or 5 seconds he would understand that i want her to go on my hand and she would stop and go on my hand normally. I know i cant stop molting and i know its not supposed to be this intense.

Is there any way i can put her at ease.
Because it becoming a behavior problem.

THANK-YOU

You can try giving her more frequent baths/mistings. Molting does make them cranky.

Agreed. Lots of gentle misting or spraying with water. My babies had many pins and I've been away for almost a month. Put them on the line yesterday and misted them wuth the hose. I've never seen them so happy. They couldn't get enough of it and were rubbing their heads every which way. The water seemed to release the feathers or many of them at least.

Do you see the pin feathers? If so you can hold her in a small towel and rub the pinnies between your fingers to release the hard case covering them. Be careful because if the pins are not ready you will cause discomfort to the bird.
