Milo's going through an 'I MUST CHEW ALL THE THINGS' phase. Thank goodness he chose this bag of LEGO today instead of my hands. Like he did yesterday XD
While I found that playing with Lego together (all small parts taken away, of course) helps when he's in the mood to pull apart my things, I'm still looking for something to satisfy him when he wants to chew chew chew. But he's not interested in his wood or leather chewing toys! Rather, he seems to be looking for something with either a lot more resistance, or springiness (....like my fingers XD). He's ignored every bird toy I've given him for this -- so far the only thing he's shown any interest in is a Kong-brand cat blanket toy that has that crinkle paper stuff inside.
So... anyone know any bird safe dog toys, lmfao
But for realsies, I'm thinking about what kind of materials I could make a spongy, chewy, interesting toy out of and I've had a few ideas. My main one atm is to get some leather offcuts (or the fingers off a pair of old leather gloves from the charity store, idk), and make a few leather fingers, stuff 'em with a mix of crinkle paper and... loofah, perhaps? (for springiness), and then colour them with food dye. I figure I could decorate with sisal/jute, beads, etc. Anyone have a better idea or see an issue with mine so far?
He's not being aggressive or biting, btw -- he's typically gentle! All my boo-boos are because my skin's a bit thin and he's really giving 'em a good beaking. Sadly not reacting's not working haha...ha... in the meantime, I've just been using cloth rocktape on my fingers when he's trying to eat me. Helps a LOT!
