Hello. Had this boy for an year and I’ve noticed the cere color change. It’s light blue and now has a tan color on top. I’m now concerned about Peppys gender too. When i got him they said that it was a male. Is it a girl or a boy? And is this normal?

Peppy seems to be a girl. A males cere usually wouldn't look like that unless something was wrong

She's a very pretty girl. You're aware her cere will change colour again when she goes into breeding condition? It'll go dark brown and crusty.

Thank you all for the help. Didn’t know that they gave me a girl instead of a boy. I literally got another female budgie 5 months ago. Guess i have two girl now.

If it was light blue before, definitely female. Young males tend to be more purple.
