Yes...today there were 3 eggs in the nest. Chubs would sit on the one, but he is balking about 3...LOL.

Yes...he is growing up. His feet are the color of the adults now, and his little beak is changing, and will soon be a pale grey-blue adolesent color.

He's a smart cookie, and figured they will put him to work if they can, so he is going to go on strike as to egg duty...LOL

----------------------------

I suspect that they will show him how to feed them. By then he should be weaning/weaned when the eggs are due to hatch.

Chubs is trying to spend time out of the nest. He was trying to nibble on the dried up Noni stems, then went begging for food. He flew in circles around the top of the cage and sounded like a little hummingbird. He wore himself out, and is now napping in the nest, but not on the eggs :) What a hard life he has...LOL

I just spoke to a man in Ga. at TYTY nursery. He has paw paws. I would need two, at about 6-7' to get fruit. He says to get them between now and the end of April so they are dormant. I will save up and get a couple. The shipping is 25% of the order, so that's not too bad really.

Carole, What do the trees cost? Did they say how long before they start to fruit?

The ones 6-7' are 77.75, you need two, so $155.50 & 25% ship is, so approx $195.
He only said you need one this size to get fruit, and dormant season was now until the end of April, so probably in summer.

Wow!...they are expensive. Do you need 2 to cross-polinate them?
