Are shower steamers safe?

So I got these shower steamers as a gift. All of my birds stay in my room but I also have my own bathroom. Would it be okay to use the steamers or are the birds too close to the area?

I have never used them but I was told by someone who does use them that hers make her whole house smell of the essential oils they are made with.

Great…I wish people would stop making scented things…

Yours may not be as strongly scented, your bathroom may have better ventilation to exhaust the scent to the outside instead of allowing it to filter throughout your home - I guess you’ll have to weigh up the risks given your particular circumstances at your home.
Knowing what has been used in them may also help you decide how much of a risk it is if at all.

We’ve been given some lovely homemade soap bars that were scented which I was comfortable using with my bird in the room but they were not scented using EO’s or fragrances (natural dried orange peels, rosemary and some other yummy smelling things were used) so I wasn’t concerned.

I think they’re natural but I’ll double check. If not, I’ll just throw it away.

You could regift them if you decide they’re not safe, better they get used by someone than binned.

I don’t really know of anyone I could regift them to. I don’t have a lot of friends or any at all really. I’m a bit of a lonely bird lady. I may sell them.
