Their crests, beaks and head shape seem quite different to me also. Very similar yet so different at the same time!

I need more photos of him to compare does he have his own photo thread?

Holy tantrum LOL! I, too, would die if she flipped back on me like that. Is that common behavior for toos? Does your heart completely drop every time she does it?! Goodness aahaha <3

Yeah this is a daily occurrence I call it her zoomies. She gets a wild hair and then just wigs out like this. The first time was startling, now it's like "MA'AM are you good?" Hahaha

He looks huge compared to her! And yeah his head shape is totally different, is it his eye placement? Something about his eyes I think. What kind of SC2 is he?

I never actually got an answer/explanation that made any sense.... I was told "he holds them like that when he is happy" That explanation just honestly broke my heart.
I have my suspicions on what has happened and the vet also gave a few reasons she thinks they could be so messed up- none make me feel any better but I can't change what is done and he does not appear to have any pain from them at this point so I try not to let it consume me too much.

I have my suspicions on what has happened and the vet also gave a few reasons she thinks they could be so messed up- none make me feel any better but I can't change what is done and he does not appear to have any pain from them at this point so I try not to let it consume me too much.

Well that was an ordeal!



Let’s see - We bit the vet, refused to speak to anyone (not one peep the entire 2 hours we were there!), and pooped on the vet assistant.

I felt super bad about the poop incident, especially because in the 10 months I’ve had her, she’s never pooped on me. She screams to be put somewhere in order to poop - so she’s kind of potty trained? And then she absolutely bombed the assistant with a MASSIVE poo. Huge poo. So much poo.

She’s gained a lot of weight, which the vet today said was good (not the same vet we saw last time, but same office, so I guess different opinions on weight?). She’s at 624g now, and apparently her previous weight (560? Can’t recall off the top of my head) was normal, but in the low range of normal. Now she’s at a good healthy weight. Doc said her feathers and barbering aren’t something I need to stress about too much, because she’s not plucking anything out. Plus seeing the photos from when she first came to me compared to now, the vet said “Are you seriously worried? She looks a hundred times better than she did. Stop stressing yourself out.” So I guess I feel a little better

We also met a couple amazons! They were not friendly.

WHAT. WHY.

Nearly a year of having her and NOT ONE TIME has she ever messed with the papers! Today I change the liner, leave to grab the cleaning stuff for the ledges, and I come back to her doing this. I had to put the grate in! I hate the grate! It sucks to clean it! And she immediately tried grabbing the paper through the grate

Hormones are dumb!
