She was not sure. She did not do a crop swab or anything but thought it was possibly an obstruction caused by a foreign body.

I am so sorry that Maddie is not feeling well. I hope the vet can give you some more definitive answers.
Keep her warm like you have been doing. Offer fruits that are juicey so that she might pass what ever it is quicker.
Prayers winging thier way to you and your sweet Maddie!

Bad news, it looks like she was right about her crop not emptying. Her crop still looks really full and I don't think she's pooped since I got home 1 1/2 hours ago. She did not want to eat any applesauce but I had just woken her up so I think maybe she was still sleepy. I left it in there with her.

It looks like she pooped a couple of small poops but the consisted mostly of urine and urates and not a lot of feces.

If the crop does not empty tonight you will need to get her to the vet in the AM. If it empties slow ask the vet about digestive enzymes. I would give her some pedialyte mixed 50/50 with water to help with hydration.

Has she been chewing anything she could have ingested?

Let us know Allison, when you can.
We worry when one of our AA flock gets sick :(

Her crop is empty this morning, but she does not want to eat. The vet isn't getting in until 8:30. I will call her then and see what she wants me to do. She has pooped several times but they all have been mostly urates and urine and a little bit of feces.

Thanks Gary. I almost got Pedialyte yesterday. I will get some today. Oh, and she has never been a big chewer or player so it is odd that she has ingested something. She has been foraging on the floor with Beau quite a bit so it is possible she ate something then.

Good morning, please try and relax. I know how scary it is to have a bird with a slow crop, it has happened here from time to time. Will Maddie eat soft food out of a syringe? Applesauce will keep the crop moving, it does not take much as I use a tsp. for a larger bird, 1/4 tsp should work for Maddie. If you have a probiotic you can mix it with the soft food. Talk to your vet first as she may want to see the bird on an empty crop. Also ask your vet about using slippery elm to encapsulate what she may have swallowed, it will help the foreign object pass and sooth the GI tract. Keep checking poops and look for anything out of the ordinary.

She doesn't look very good :(
Can you get the pedialyte now so she can have some sooner than later?

I am so sorry she's not feeling well. I hope the vet can tell what's wrong and how to fix it today.

The vet is not in yet. I left a message with the receptionist and she is supposed to call me back. She started eating a little after I sprinkled a few seeds on top of the applesauce/fruit mix. She might let me syringe feed her some more applesauce if necessary.

Do you have any hand feeding formula? You can mix a bit of applesauce with it and offer it.
