Worried about Maddie!

I just got back from work. She was weak again. I talked to my friend who is a vet tech and she said that I should put my humidifier right next to her pointing in her direction because she will get more hydrated that way. She ate all the millet I put in there for her and she took some more hand feeding formula before bed. I will be calling my vet in the morning and will probably bring her in for fluids, a force feeding, and just to be checked out. I have not weighed her but will in the morning. She is asleep for the night now.

Awe poor baby....glad you are taking her to the vet.

She's really bad today. She can barely keep her head up and is not interested in food. She is almost semi-unconcious. I tried to call my vet and they said she is in the middle of surgery. I tried my vet tech friend and she is not answering.

I'm so sorry, Allison. I would just bring her in and wait.

I'm sorry about Maddie. Will they allow you to bring her on in and put her on heat and O2?

Allison give the bird a couple of drops of Dextrose and head to the vet. Do as Riley's Mom suggested have them put the bird on Oxygen and give it fluids with some dextrose. Maddie needs to be gavage fed. Head to the vet now!
