I loved watching the tank being built! I love fish, but if you guys remember the run in a few years back when I killed off my ex's fishtank while he was away on business, I think it is one hobby (along with gardening) that I just can't ever seem to get right.

Aww..that must have hurt. Don't beat yourself up on that. Even we who are seasoned mess up sometimes and nuke a tank. Knock on wood..for me.

6850 is very pretty! I love the tail!

No, this time I have not given it one thought. I guess I am still stinging from the loss of the four. I am staying a bit detached this time. In a few weeks when I know they are settled in I will think about it...maybe sooner.

Carole I love the 90 and the new fish! They are beautiful! I could get rid of my t.v today and replace it with a fish tank and be happier than ever!

Thank you Stephanie.My apologies if this thread is annoying anyone. It is important that I stay focused on their care right now while they make this transition, hence why no recent bird pics or videos. Don't worry though, my birds still get all their playtime and attention every day.
Mr. 6850 is awesome. I was sent a small bright orange ranchu with him, for free. Mr. eggfish was about to become an omelet. He kept biting at the baby ranchu. Yesterday I gave him to a close friend who has a 3500 gallon pond. He swam off nibbling at the algae along the sides. This pond is gorgeous and well maintained. He will be happy there.

It's a sphere that your pond fish can swim up in so you can see them. I am wondering if a small version could be made out of a clear bowl for a large tank?

Carole, they are fabulous as always. I love the missing dorsal fin and have always loved them. They are referred to as Lionheads right? And that Blue Oranda, one of my favs, I love Chocolate Orandas but most of all I love the Red Caps!

When I re-do my tank someday, I am going to go for Golds! I would love to have 3 giant Orandas in my 55.

I wanted to first say that I enjoy reading this thread. Next, I am very sorry that you had to give one of your babies away. Also, the pond dome is amazing! I also love the night view!

Thank you Claire & Matt! The ones without dorsals are Ranchus. A 55 would be great for goldies! I know matt, sad about that cute eggfish. But I cannot compete with a 3500 gallon pond to live in with lots of crayfish and algae to eat. I am sure he will be happy. I will get a new pic or video of mr 3850 today or tomorrow.
