The two little red mustache fish came in yesterday. And a freebie, a blue oranda. I tried to get pics, but they all came out blurry. I will work on new ones or a video. I was able to get one decent one of the blue oranda. Today a couple more fish arrive, then two on friday. This puts me at two more than I had planned on....but 8 is a lucky number for me.

The bags in the tank are media bags getting ready with bacteria for the other quarantine and for the 90 gallon. I only had one fish left, the panda telescope, and he came from the same person so they are together.He sure was happy to have some friends. The others will be separately qt'd. I had to find a home for the Ryukin unfortunately, as after the others were gone he was bullying the panda. I placed an ad to give him away for free, and as it turned out I knew the girl who took him. She is a vet tech at the vets I take my dog to. Yesterday she sent me this e-mail.

"Just wanted to let you know the fish are doing great. The pleco loves
the planted tank and is very happy. The goldfish likes the blind fish
and swims almost touching him He is eating very well and I love them"

I gave her my special little pleco too, as I had moved her to get her to a warmer tank, and she just did not seem happy there. I now know Ryukins can be territorial or aggressive. The panda was too small and slow to risk being beaten. I am glad they are happy with their new home.

This first guy is kind of funny looking, but I got a couple ranchus this time because it has been said they are really friendly.

Thanks Leza. I think they may grow on me. I just think a lot of them are super odd looking. He looks like a blockhead..lol. Thai told me you can play with them. I think it is neat how he and the white Oranda have basically the same color pattern, but are different types of goldfish.
