Update on the Goldfish

A video of my goldfish. The 90 gallon goes up next week.

We are going through a battle with ich, and winning the fight with salt and heat.

Marie, I am talking with the folks at Koko's right now. It appears my treatment is a tad weak, so I am going to up it today. They are doing much better, with no visible ich right now. We are not totally out of the woods yet though.

A couple mistakes were made that may have stressed them. Especially taking out all the decoration/plants. As soon as I replaced them, the fish started acting normal. I just did my water change, and brought the salt amount up. I am told to leave the salt as is for 10 days after any visible signs of ich. If you would have seen Matsui a couple days ago, you would have thought he was a goner.

Wait until you see what I have planned for the 90 gallon they are soon to move into. I am hoping it's going to be my best work yet.
I have been on the planted tank forum looking for what is sometimes called 'moonstones'. Not the gem, these are round to egg shaped smooth stones from a river, that are medium to large. A member told me about a gentleman named Rod, who owns a place called thedriftwoodstore.com .
Rod called me last night. What a fascinating person, who has had a very interesting life. He is going to get the stones for me, and at a great price.

I am coming off my hormone pills too, just quit three days ago. This is not helping.
