These are the feathers they usually cut away:Ugh, really? Is it supposed to look like a ragged curve like his does?
I am just so sad for him. He's an absolute sweetheart who doesn't need this in his life
I'm starting to wonder if the trim isn't contributing to his landing issues. Sometimes, he'll "trip" and land on his chest.
He's such a good boy. There was no need for this at all.

Don't let him out unsupervised, so he can't "hide."I just don't know what to do... If I hadn't found him, one of the dogs could have gotten him if he ever decided to come out.
Yeah... it'll suck, since it will disrupt the pre-bedtime routine we have, where I let them enjoy their last bit of free time together (with frequent check-ins), but it's better than not keeping him safe.Don't let him out unsupervised, so he can't "hide."
Ah... poor Maiboch. What did you wind up doing to help him?Poor Bull, this sounds familiar to what I was dealing with with Maiboch after Daffy died.
She become obsessed with Porter and wouldn't leave him alone.
Oh gosh. It's hard keeping lovies and budgies! My little blue gal thinks she can take on Triss. She can't, of course, but she loves going on toe patrol.Garets flock makes me want a lovie. The cage would be perfect on top of my budgie flight cage.
Hmm, it might work for the rear of the dressers, at least. The front is another issue, since they're low arches.@Garet
I've heard of folks using those pool noodles to keep dogs from getting their toys lost underneath furniture. If you cover the noodles with fabric (so they won't be tempted to chew the foam), would that keep inquisitive beaks from getting lost?
Hmmm.... maybe adhesive velcro and some thick cloth to make a taut "skirt"? I dunno how well it'd keep the stinkers out.Hmm, it might work for the rear of the dressers, at least. The front is another issue, since they're low arches.

Anyways this thread title is no longer a lie... And everything is right again. It's been a long time since I've seen Bull so active and happy. He's started preening himself again and actually spent time on his cage with her.
Is Bull with a new lovebird? I took this to mean he's taken to the new blue budgie.Another lovie! Your flocks grow every week it seems
I know right?? My only lovie experience was quite negative but this makes me want one as well.Garets flock makes me want a lovie. The cage would be perfect on top of my budgie flight cage.
Oh I bet they’d love to mess with a skirt! Haha!Hmmm.... maybe adhesive velcro and some thick cloth to make a taut "skirt"? I dunno how well it'd keep the stinkers out.
