I'm just devastated for you JT, I said OH NO when I read this. I was a mess when Nerd bird left me and not a lot better when Lurch escaped but he was with you and that had to help him over the bridge. Take the time you need and love and help Akela as she is going through the same thing and you'll help and support each other.
The pain never goes away but time will help, I'm so sorry, it hurts me too.

I guess we can't not love for fear of loss. I haven't had much love in my life & alot of it has been for fear of getting hurt.
Guess getting hurt is part of life & I've tried my best to hide from it but it can catch up to you no matter what you do to prevent it in the end we are helpless & I suppose its best to live alot of life with love & deal with lose then to have none at all.
