I did something very stupid for some days ago...

I had a lot of feathers left from Eloy, and I didn't know what to do with them so I just arrange them in a crystal bowl in my vitrine.
I decided to get one of the best picture I have of Eloy to put in the same bowl, (with his leg-band) but before I cut it I showed it to Akela.
I just showed it and said, - "Look at this great pic of Eloy", I didn't thought that she would recognized him at all. But she did.
Stupid, stupid me! Her reaction was heart breaking for me to see. I still feel so bad for it.

Ive been very busy, I just now saw this... Im so sorry for your loss, I know you loved him dearly. This is heartbreaking.

What a beautiful memorial, they do mourn the loss , as we do. Bentley still looks for his friend Kiwi .She has been gone for a year and a half . Isabelle has helped to heal our hearts, but we both still miss her so very much.

I truly believe they are like us in grief. Someday she will change from painful recognition to seeing him and fluffing, or maybe just not reacting so much. I have seen this when our caique died.

More recently my zon has been depressed since Dobby went to Terry, who provides his current cushy life. She gradually began eating again, but has begun to fly into the bathroom, throw things in the toilet, and chew toothbrushes like he did. When I said, "Oh, NO, what. are. you. doing???", she said very clearly, "DobbyDobbyDobby."

You are doing what you can, and your judgement is excellent.

Well that's kinda sad and sweet at the same time. I have to keep my bathroom door closed and he certainly loves to find things to throw or chew all over the house. Sounds like she is channeling her friend and maybe I'll have to tell Dobby to quit sending her attack the bathroom vibes.
They certainly do miss their flock mates, Nerd called for Ferd for a while when he suddenly left us but eventually decided he was stuck with me and became happy again and my best bud for the rest of his life.

Yep, Dobby is or was upset and honking because Sandy came home and went straight to talk to me instead of greeting him and letting him out. He was happy last night when I came in from thawing out the frozen pipe under the house though. He kept whistling at me and talking while sitting on Sandies shoulder.
