Yes, some other yeasts and bacterial infections can show these symptoms, all you can do is wait for the tests. The slippery elm works really well for regurgitating! I would try it. You can get it at health stores. About an hour after giving it they seem to regurg less, then maybe you could feed him a bit.:hug8:

Sarah thank you very much for that quick answer!

Becky, baby food is a good idea, I even have some (I add it to bird bread) jars of fruit. Doesn't pedialyte taste good though? If so, wouldn't it do better in his water. It's kind of like water, just a super water....right?

Maybe mix the slippery elm in the baby food 1st, so he can hold something down. Or use a syringe to get some on his tummy.

Becky, I've noticed the slippery elm comes in powder, liquid, and capsules.

Any specific type I need for birds? Also how much to give?

Becky do get back in touch with Gary he can tell you what to give and the amounts and what you shouldn't mix with the antibiotics. You only need to add a couple of drops of ACV, make sure that it is pasturized you don't want Gimli to add Salmonella to his problems.

I hope Gimli will be ok sending out healing vibes Gimli's way. Stay strong.

Please keep us updated!!:hug8:

Take 1 tsp slippery elm powder to 4 tsp water. Mix it very quickly, it is sticky stuff, and give it by syringe. You can not overdose them on it but try to get 1/2 tsp - 1 tsp in him. Korbel liked it and took it off a spoon. (smells really yummy)

I know you said there is no chance of him getting heavy metals. But the #1 cause of birds getting it (according to my vet) is from their toys. Toys like the cow bells and the chain and wiring not being SS.
