thank you. That's a relief. Its cold again so no smell.From what I can see they’re happy poking heads up through whatever the dry matter is on the top.
I’d personally leave them and see what tomorrow morning brings... you might have a few escapees but I don’t think condensation or a few climbing walls for condensation is anything to worry about.
If it stinks you could mix them a bit but as you can see they’re more than happy to come get the newer food.... they seem happy to me.

I guess given they’re surface feeders that there should be meandering about and I’m assuming that it must be moist enough otherwise they’d stay off the dry stuff
