Jack put in a window screen piece over the top of the bin then shut the lid. It’s his attempt at blocking the escape route. Let’s see. The lights arrived today.

There is an 8” hole in the center of the screen. The lid is on.

You will soon find out lol, depends how big the holes in the screen are.
Small holes. Worms left trails on it. One worm was still able to wriggle under the screen and sit on the lip. No escapees last night

Serious question... have you checked up how they reproduce yet?
I just don’t want you freaking out when you find a conjoined worm nor do I want you popping their eggs thinking they’re osmocote pellets

Omg! You feed your worms special brand new food... mine are gonna leave home if they find out- they only get the crap none of us will eat like banana skin, apple core, scraps from tea, bird leftovers etc  They do get the really ripe bananas too cos no one eats them once they’re really ripe.

Your worms love Burt’s poop! They’ll never leave you! I’m going to use the cornmeal for bird bread tonight. It’s not all for the worms. They really loved the ground up raw potato which has now rotted. We don’t cook so there’s not much interesting food for them to eat. And I really envy your weather!
