Your bin is designed to compact the waste as it gets closer to the bottom- if I remembered correctly it was to help force the worms to stay at the top where the bin is being fed.

Looks ok to me and I’m pleased to see your worms aren’t dead lol.

Weird! I joined two fb worm groups. Mostly lurk in the big one and visited the smaller one twice, but posted yesterday’s video in both. The small group I had never posted in, removed it! No reason given. :geek: AFD54E4D-C10E-49B6-997F-0A679D1044DF.jpeg

4 or 5 dead escapee worms during the night. They all end up 5-6 feet away from the bin. There are wet flowerpots around the bin but no....
any ideas? @Shezbug my go-to worm person lol

How wet are the flowerpots? They normally will take cover underneath pots (unless they fall straight into the top of them).
A pic of your bin and plant pot positioning might give me more of an understanding why they’re not interested and are getting so far away from the bin.
Maybe lay some damp cardboard around the worm bin. When they’re on the run they’re usually looking for something to hide under or in- anytime we have really heavy rain we lay either damp hessian, paper or cardboard down where the edges of our grass and veranda concrete meet to give the worms escaping the excessive wet somewhere to go. If we don’t there’s worms all over the veranda in the morning.

They are always at the front left corner-three or four on the outside part of the lid. I’ll look in the morning and rescue them. Look what LScoot did :
Ps big lights are delayed in the mail

It’s interesting they’re always escaping in the same place. Hmmm

Maybe the lid at that corner sits up high? I could try aiming a light?
